About Us
Forrest and Peter Melton were raised in Watsonville, CA. Now, Forrest lives with his wife, Ronelle and his young daughters Myla Sol and Anika Snow in the Chico, CA, with older boys (Kylor, Colton, Michael and Eric) scattered around the western states and one in Australia ! Peter rotates between Chico and Watsonville, where he spends a lot of time being the “Funcle” … Fun-Uncle and support and companion for our parents.
Forrest and Peter Melton began hosting events back in 1982 when they were putting together Spring Break Trips to San Felipe, Mexico with friends from Chico State. From there, they began working with College Tours / Student Tours selling Spring Break trips to Mazatlan and Cancun! Forrest and Peter advanced to GET Travel Services as the VP of Sales & Marketing and Sales Manager.
Forrest moved into Group Travel and became the Sales Manager for Innovative Meetings & Events and then to Global Travel.
From there, Forrest, Peter and our younger brother, Greg purchased SAGE Seminars and began facilitating personal growth seminars.
Inspired by helping people, Forrest then opened up YES! Youth Empowerment Services and ALIVE adventures and began mentoring youth and facilitating Rite of Passage Programs for the next ten years.
In 2010, Forrest co-founded EventWerks and hosted many festivals and events in Southern California, including Food & Wine Festivals, Craft Brew Events, Celtic Faires and Oktoberfests!
Then, in 2017, Forrest branched out on his own to start Blue Sky Event Services and helped to run the 2018 Newport Beach OCtoberfest.
In 2019, Forrest became the Trade Show Manager for Incrediwear.
Now, Blue Sky Event Services sells exhibit space for a dozen events, entertains event guests and helps these events to succeed.
