Grandmaster Vidal Bio

Darryl Vidal has been a student and disciple of the art for 37+ years. He has been teaching Karate in Murrieta for the city’s Parks and Recreation Department for the past 24+ years.

Vidal has earned the highest honor given in martial arts, as he was awarded Grandmaster status in 2012.

And if he looks familiar you probably saw him in the 80's move classic “The Karate Kid”. In the movie Grandmaster Vidal was Pat Morita’s (Mr. Miyagi) stunt double, and was the martial artist in the “crane” position on the pole in the beach scene. He was also in the fight scene with Daniel LaRusso's blonde nemesis, Johnny Lawrence.
